I have decided to use Sojourner and my model to copy in the reconstruction process.  I will build the frame then add 1/4 plate to bolt the co-pilot seat and harness to

bottom step was cut off as it hung to low for mid ship placement.. first test fit on the door frame

after shortening up the last step riser the stair tread was welded back in.  welded on the anchors for the removable step

steps are happening, today more welding , the removable step has been test fit and the brackets that hold it have been attached

 

the removable step   pins drop in the hole , easy in for access and easy out for travel
